Role Overview:

As an Experienced Plumber Mechanic, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing and mechanical systems according to specifications and appropriate trade and building codes. You will work on varied projects ranging from new construction installations to complex retrofits and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, schematics, and isometric drawings to determine layouts of plumbing and water supply systems.


• Install, repair, and maintain commercial/industrial plumbing fixtures, pipes, and water, gas, and drainage systems.


• Cut, thread, bend, and route pipes using hand and power tools, ensuring precise measurements and secure fittings.


• Inspect and test installed systems and pipelines for leaks or faults using pressure gauges and hydrostatic testing.


• Diagnose complex plumbing issues, troubleshoot mechanical failures, and implement effective, code-compliant repairs.


• Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national plumbing codes and OSHA safety standards.


• Direct, mentor, and oversee the work of plumbing apprentices and helpers on the job site.


• Maintain accurate records of time, materials used, and work performed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of [5+] years of proven experience as a Plumber Mechanic in commercial / residential environments.


• Licensing: Valid Journeyman Plumber License (or equivalent local certification) is highly preferred.


• Knowledge: In-depth understanding of building regulations, plumbing codes, and safety standards (OSHA 10 or 30 is a plus).


• Technical Skills: Proficiency with a wide variety of pipe materials (copper, PVC, CPVC, cast iron, PEX, black iron) and joining methods (brazing, soldering, threading, grooving).


• Physical Capability: Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50+ lbs), work in tight spaces, and stand for extended periods in various weather conditions.


• Requirements: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
